Graphic Design Intern Needed

Internship Opportunity

Graphic Design Intern to create program for the 2012 Southeastern Women Studies Association (SEWSA) Conference.

Conference program will include color cover, 4-8 ads requiring design and approximately 30 pages of text.

Qualifications:
• Skilled designer able to provide creative ideas for the program while coordinating with existing “look” of promotional materials for conference
• Must be able to work well independently
• Must be reliable, able to respond to short timeframe, meet deadlines, and be highly motivated

Work on the project will commence 1/23. On 1/30, intern will present cover ideas and will receive all text and ad information. On 2/13, intern will present page design and ad mockups. On 3/1, intern will submit entire program for approval. On 3/8, intern must submit final program will all changes incorporated and ready for printing.

The work will be carried out independently and off-site. The person selected will meet with the conference chair 3-4 times.

This is an unpaid, credit-bearing internship (up to 2 credits). The intern also will receive 5 copies of the printed program for his/her portfolio and a pass to attend any events of interest at the conference.
